Domecq Importers, Inc. and Hiram Walker & Sons, Inc. merged in 1998. Allied Domecq was acquired by Pernod-Ricard in 2005.

    • Reorganization & Training System Creation Completed sales organization development needs assessment of the three spirits companies in early 1991 making recommendations regarding job definitions, descriptions and structure to be set forth, management systems to be implemented and management development activities required to support the new Hiram Walker & Sons, Inc. field organization. Training program development and implementation included:
      • Building Brands Through Distributors
      • “Train-the-Trainer” – Group Communication and Training Skills
      • Pricing & Profitability Management
      • Key Account Selling Strategies & Category Management

    • Planning & Development of Region Marketing Program
      Selected to participate as a member of the steering committee to develop a five year strategic plan for the organization. Participated in the formulation and implementation of a “regional marketing” concept to include organization structure realignment, personnel selection, cross-functional planning process and training.

    • Creation of “Tops Team” On-Premise Sales Group
      Played a primary role in structuring the young adult sales organization’s operating practices and procedures, the selection and training of personnel and deployment of a 10 person sales team that specialized in introducing brands to on-premise accounts in major markets. The “Top Team” was recognized by distributors and on-premise customers to be a superior sales promotion group.

    Sales training and organization development assignments completed on an on-going basis with Callaway Vineyards and the Wine Alliance from 1982 through 2004.
